She's a lovely EE, and hits all the points of what I personally consider the 'ideal' EE. (willow/slate legs, muff/beard, pea comb, lays green/blue eggs.)
I love my easter eggers. I also love hatching their mixed babies! You'll get some very unique colors with that combo, plus the babies will likely have the muffs I love so much.
You're braver than I am, though, getting an incubator. That's a step I just don't trust myself to take. As it is, I'm limited by the willingness of my broodies, that's probably a good check for me. If I had an incubator I'd be up to my ears in little mixed breed chicks
Well, I only have one broody little game hen, and she is a fiesty thing. I can't check on the status of her eggs or even come near her as she sits. And when she does hatch babies, I can't come near them without her trying to eat me
So, after looking at all these homeade incubators I decided to give it a shot. Hasn't cost me much, and I would love to have the experience of hatching and raising socialized little peeps.
My boyfriend just loves his big green boiled eggs for lunch and I would love to have a couple more hens that might lay them.
