Americaunas are thirty weeks old and STILL no eggs

Their sisters are black stars and buffs, all have been producing for weeks. What gives? They have a nice coop with late enclosed run. A mister on six hours daily. A full supply of fresh water via a nipple system and rain barrels. Shade. Sand. Treats from the garden and kitchen. You name it, they got it. But I got no eggs! What gives...

I'll make a guess that your birds are hatchery birds and therefore more likely to be Easter eggers rather than Ameraucanas. These birds are selected more for egg ccolor than for egg production. Although they will be good producers of pretty eggs, they will start laying later than the production birds that you mention. On the plus side they generally have a longer productive life than the 'egg laying machines'.

I guess she's just taking her time. My Ameraucana is 24 weeks and still no eggs either. All the other chickens (different breeds) that I got at the same time have all started to lay. After I got her and did more research, I found out she was an Easter Egger. I heard that since they are considered mutts, that when they will start to lay is a crapshoot. Oh well, I still love her.

Never found EEs to lay later than any other chicken except sex linked. Could your EE simply be laying a brown egg?

My EE's seem to always lay later than the other birds. It could be that she is laying brown eggs instead of blue/green.
