Ameruacana Ancestors?

Dear all,
The other day I was working in the countryside of the State of São Paulo, Brazil and I was amazed when I saw in a flock of some poor countrymen a group of hens with Ameraucana features (muffs and beard). I had never heard about Ameraucanas in Brazil.


Are these features typically of Ameraucanas? These lassies seem to have Ameraucana blood in their mix. Am I right?

There is a type of game chicken called muffs. Don't know what their lineage is, though. So, there are probably other lines of chickens that have muffs that are not EE's.
