i just worry a bit because this one is a bit of a pain.
he/she likes to jump, fly and land on the backs of the other chickies :-/

thanks!

OK, I'll take a stab at it. I have a fifty percent chance of being right.

I say ... Hen, with a possibility of being a roo ... no wait a minute ... it's a hen. OK roo. No I'm sure ... It's a hen. I'm sticking with hen.
Or maybe it's a roo.

I am guessing pullet, but I'm certainly no expert. It has a pretty long tail and very small comb. It could just be the dominant one. I've read on here that the hens will fluff up their neck feathers and jump at each other for dominance.

Good luck!!

I can't tell you roo or hen, but I can tell you that we have an old hen who is very dominant and will grab and jump on the other hens... so I wouldn't really take that as a determining factor. It is pretty funny because the old girl is a lot smaller than the Brahma's and the Barnevelders but man does she keep them in line!

you guys are entertaining lol

ok, so nothing screams roo and the obnoxious behavior could just be the way s/he is
it will be interesting when the new critter meets "the girls"
lets see who is dominate then!

pips&peeps :

Your birdie is an easter egger, and nine timee out of ten that particular color is female.
