Thanks for the in-depth reply, I live in Australia our Cream Legbars are a recent import from the United Kingdom they differ slightly from their USA counterparts but pretty much the same nonetheless, I look forward to see the results. If cream legbar pure, you will have all green egg laying daughters and roos that carry 1 blue gene. The blue shell gene presents with blue shell while the brown genetics act as a wash over the blue to present as green. Typically light to medium green depending on the depth of brown in the hybrid layer hen.
As to plumage I find my cream over red sexlink brown hybrids to be brownish grey to goldish brown barred body, both sexes first generation as a pure cream legbar roo will have 2 barring genes. All in both sexes present the gold leakage at neck and some chest. A few carry the cream inhibitor and present with lighter body and markings. Most present with crest but not all seem to do first generation.
Nice combination. Good layers of green eggs. You'll improve the hardiness of the hyline which usually plays out earlier but sacrifice the prolific laying pace some. Hyline calms some flightiness of cream legbar but not all.
My experience.
