Ammonia = Respiratory Problems and Digestion Tract Problems

The vet was very cheap I think it was roughly $75 per bird the first time. The second time was more expensive as I took Jazzy II back with an another bird (Poison Ivy II) and they did some sort of shot. In hindsight I should have only had them give Jazzy the shot. Blues seems fine and is just finishing her antibiotics.
I think Blues and Poison Ivy II will do fine with the vets antibotics. They were not responding to the tractor supply antibotics.
As for Jazzy II she is still alive but not doing well. Her crown turns purple and her breathing becomes labored every time she is a little stressed. I really want the vet to put her on diuretics but they won't.
Can we have pictures of the birds? Thins are not sounding good for Jazzy, but I hope she improves :(

The best you can do for her is to end her misery. She is slowly asphyxiating and a little later on will even be drowning with the accumulating water in her lungs due to the heart failure.

I honestly agree. It doesn’t sound like a good idea to continue her misery.

Two of the three birds recovered. Jazzy is still a work in progress. I wish my vet would put her on the correct dosage of salix and am going have to talk to him about it but at least he started her on it. I may have accidently given her some diuretics and salt substitute earlier in the game so I know she needs a higher dose. Anyway I know meat birds don't live long and wouldn't even be trying if the were not hens and if this wasn't my fault but it kind of is. Anyway I am happy they are still alive and am going keep trying. Also Jazzy II isn't suffering as long as she is on the lasix so I think it is the right call. I guess she is pet status now.
