Amoxicillin for button quail

What would be the correct dosage for amoxcillin 250mg liquid on a button quail. Weight of quail is 1.4 oz

Plumbs says 100 mg/kg every 8 hours. That is ~ 45 mg per lb. A 1.4 oz bird would get 4 mg of amoxicillin every 8 hours.

If you're saying the medicine has 250 mg of Amoxicillin per ml of medicine then the quail would get 0.016 ml of medicine every 8 hours.
