Amphibious?

This morning I went down to the chicken pen and noticed a Bourbon Red turkey girl standing in our kiddie pool, which had about two inches of water in it. She's been there before. But this time she was all huddled up, and there was a turkey egg in the water! So.... I know those Bourbon girls are curious and all, so is she just exploring her interesting new "nesting box"?

lol...sorry i dont know anything about turkeys...would have loved to have seen it...maybe try for a pic next time...maybe she wanted to see if it would float...lol

All my BBB's stand in the water bicket.. i dont know why but it sure is cute to watch em ...

all my turkeys do that, especially during the summer, or even more so when they are broody. They will run out off the nest, jump in the water for a minute or two and return to the nest
