Amproulin in feed?

What about a Broiler feed, I think also called Meat bird feed ? Usually around 20%

The feed store I like doesn't carry it. The other feed store in town carries it but it's more than twice as expensive as what I use. With more than 50 birds it's just not feasible for me to pay that.
There isn't a lot of choice in a town of 4000 people. Especially when the next closest town is 40 miles sway.

Ahh, sorry I didn't realize that.

Course some times it is easier to take a trip every few months to get things.
I go 40 min out of my way to buy things at a small grain store in NH. Course I also go there just to look at the chicks they have YEAR ROUND ! :love

I would buy absolutely ANYTHING other than medicated feed. Then add extra protein based on what is available to me. As for 16% not being enough??? My flock is on 16% unless I'm raising chicks. For that period of time, my flock gets unmedicated starter. If that were not available then, I'd give them multi flock. You might consider fermenting your feed. That adds extra lysine and methionine, thus increasing available protein.

I think when this feed is gone I will switch to the 16% poultry developer. I will find a way to get the extra protein for them. My feed guy was telling me about a 16% scratch that he has available and I will try that for their daily treat.

Thanks everybody for your help! :hugs
