Having more space for all is a good idea.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. So I did go ahead and put the girls into the dog run AKA hospital run. They seem so much happier and Stumpy is actually now mingling with the rest . And for added protection I put one of my cockerels that is very calm in with them for protection. The space has an open top on it but it does have a area in which they can hide under until I get the secondary henhouse in it.
