Okay. Here is what her wing looked like after I cleaned it. Looks swollen and she had air (??) In a little skin sac. I poked it and it deflated so that was odd.

Good news is the screeching was evidently due to a few stuck feathers I missed. She is preening now and doing the "I'm a chick/who, ME?" whistle at me whenever she sees me. It's adorable.

I think whatever happened bruised her neck a bit because she is extremely uncomfortable when her crop is full and readjusts constantly. I'm really lucky I didn't lose her too I think.

Looks like you cleaned it well.
The swelling with air sounds like she may have ruptured an air sac which allowed some air to leak under the skin. This can be fairly common due to injury. If she's not having any problems breathing, it should heal fine.

I would check her crop first thing in the morning to see if it's emptied overnight. Likely she did injure the head/neck since she has swelling of the eye. Hopefully time will resolve most of the issues as swelling goes down.
 
I built a cow panel type hoop coop with this potential problem in mind. The way that I solved it was in the last 4' of the coop, I put in a 2" x 2" framed hardware cloth floor 2' above the ground. It's a 12' 6" x 7' 6" inch tractor but it has a raised lightweight coop in it. I put a door frame on each end. One I can walk through into the run part. But the back door opens in two parts like a French door. Top into coop, bottom to under coop. There are plywood "D"s on each side of coop part, with the door mentioned above for me to get eggs out of two milk crates, or clean. And the other side of "D" has pop door and window into run part. There is a low roost in the run, just 8" from the ground. I know that's low, but the real purpose of it was to attach the bottom of the ramp to -- it don't go to the ground. There is a higher roost in the run, and one in the coop too. The coop part is covered around the "D"s with corrugated tin clear to the ground, they kind of get a little cave under the coop. The run part just has 4' wide of tin in the top middle to the front door. I figured just to use this tractor when it wasn't Winter, I have some linoleum I could put on the wire floor of coop, but I like the self cleaning while spreading floor better, so I took it out and saved it, but can put it right back in if I get small feet or foot problems. The darn thing turned out too heavy, or I'm not as tuff as I thought I was, but I added a clevis hitch and can hook it to my truck or lawn tractor and move it easily. It has 2 no flat wheelbarrow wheels. Someday I'm going to figure out how to put them on levers, but for now, I can lift a one corner at a time and slip them on. The trick I use to not run any chickens over, is I shut the pop door at night and move the tractor in the morning before I let them out. I've pulled them clear across the pasture, and I can't really see too good from the cab of truck behind me, but I double check under the cave when I'm hitching up. As long as they are all upstairs with the door shut, they can't be run over.

The wing looks terrific today. The scrape has healed up with barely a scab. It's still bruised and she doesn't like me handling it, but it looks way way better.

I think you're right about the air sac Wyorp. When I lay her on her other side to check her, she had a little difficulty getting air in. Seems like it's healing fine though--no panting while she is inside usually.

About how long does that take to heal you think? It's too hot to put her outside if she has air sac issues. And I can't exactly check that lol.

She is eating and drinking a lot and her crop is emptying okay. So far she is looking really good!

Edit: oh shoot I forgot! I was so excited. The swelling in her face is down enough for her to see through a crack in that bad eye!!

Glad she is doing better!
There's no definite timeline for healing, I would give her several more days and see how she does.
Eating/drinking is good. Does she still seem to have trouble when her crop is full or is that getting better too?
