I'm so jealous! I've been wanted one (or a few) of those for awhile now. Where we live in CA they just aren't common and tend to be very expensive to purchase new.

Well I did drive to Lawrence to get silkies and frizzles and that felt like a 4.5 hr trip, lol.

calf hutches can sometimes be found at farm auctions if you live in the country. otherwise they can be bought new. they're not cheap either way!

i like to use mine as a sort of daytime tractor. the hen stays in one spot for a day or two, then i shove the hutch over a few feet and she has new ground for the next day or two. our ground is lumpy, though.
