An apocolypse herd/flock

I would def. have horses for transportation so i could visit neighbouring farms to pillage and trade depending if they were occupied or not LOL. Cows for milk and meat if I had enough and Chickens for eggs and meat. Pigs maybe....depends on feeding requirements. I want a vegie garden sooooo bad but the soil here sucks LOL a good water source is essential! then we can say....screw em LOLOL

Sheep would be better than cows. Smaller an less chance of your food going bad before you get to eat it. Then there is the clothing, an insulation the make.

I would have exactly the breeds of chickens I already have, I'd probably change my mind on the "getting rid of the goats" thing and get a couple does for my buck again, and. . . . I'll leave the beef, etc up to other neighbors. As much as I love cattle and would prefer my own breeds and my own care over them versus the neighbors around here, I don't have the yard for it.

Beyond that, we've got rabbits for our dogs as well as for good fertilizer-making machines for the gardens. Our gardens/orchards/crops are sustaining enough though

I think our place by the end of this year is practically ready for a "crumble of civilization" type thing.

You would eat them if you had to. I'm dreading having to eat my hypothetical goats and rabbits

but I will do what I have to do. Man up farm boy.

I was thinking you could feed the people who try to steal our food in an apocolyptic world to the dogs.
