Hi there!
I'm a teacher (middle school) and we hatch eggs as part of our life skills unit. I wanted to be able to connect with other people for tips on incubation and advice when things get sticky. I've been doing this for a few years so I'm starting to get the hang of it, but I'm always looking to imprvove my hatches.
We get our eggs as part of a 4H program and then the chicks go to a good home on a farm that needs layers.
My husband and I would love to have our own flock but that won't happen until we move out of the municipality where we live. I asked last year: chickens are considered agriculture and my house is zoned residential (even as pets).
Oh well, there's always another year.
Jennifer
