At last! My first egg. I've been a bit of a mother hen checking the nesting box a couple of times a day ever since my red sex link started acting weird (obviously not weird for a chicken, just weird to me). I checked the box when I got home from work - nothing. I checked again a mere two hours later, and voila - an egg. It was still warm too.
    Way to go Joy:D

Don't you love it when they're warm? Congrats on the first egg, I still get excited and don't think I'll ever not be-when I go out to the coop and collect eggs. Love it!! [IMG]

Since the egg is small, I may eat it poached on a slice of toasted buttered wholewheat bread with a little salt and pepper. Yummy!

I got my first egg today! But I'm 700 miles away in St. Louis Missouri. My folks found it today, it was a wind egg. I've been waiting 25 weeks and this is how they repay me?
