I love your list!! Especially the Brahmas! I can’t wait for mine! We just can’t put them in the coop we have. It’s not really big enough for them. It’s more built for a standard breed.

I have been thinking in my "thinking brain" as my granddaughter said once when she was like 3 that it would surely be nice to get a pre-fab coop for my brahmas. Seems I would need upwards of $500 for one that would fit four of them. Hoping one can be with my current flock (wonder how that would work as in would they allow it? Hmmmm). Anywho, maybe a coop for four brahmas would not be too much to afford. Pre-fab, I mean.

I just spoke to a girl that I forgot about possibly having chickens…and she does. She doesn’t have any Brahmas but is getting some. She has her bantams and regular size together. She has plans on putting the Brahmas separate though. You could always see how it would go putting them together. I would for sure have a back up plan if it doesn’t go good. You for sure what to make sure they would be comfortable in a prefab one.

Brahmas are big girls.

I was thinking this too…but I was also thinking maybe in the area she is in she might have luck. I was looking for a prefab one for the 15 (turned 18) and just ones for 4 chickens was well over $1,000. We spent that in material we didn’t already have, which wasn’t much really, and ours we built will fit 30 regular sized chickens.

I’m so sad and mad. At least last time it moved once. This time nothing has changed since Monday. I know they have to be moving but it’s so frustrating. I even told myself that it will be ok this time. That didn’t obviously work well

It's going to be okay. I am not sure what you're waiting on because I have skipped a little bit in this thread but I can tell you with certainty that United States postal service does not update their tracking correctly/in real time. 100% certainty.

I know . I ordered some French Black Marans. I know they will be here but it’s like dang it, why is it so hard to scan a box. I have 18, 8 weeks old chickens that I’m adding to. Last time they scanned it to St. Louis but they just “hung out” there even after they arrived at my post office.

Editing to add that they should be here today, at the latest tomorrow.

And you have personally visited your post office, left phone numbers, and emphasized that you will come at any hour that the chicks arrive! Be nice, and thankful, and be ready to go immediately when you are called.
Also find out if it's possible to pick them up at the regional postal service building.
And we've loved our bantam Brahmas, big for bantams, lovely birds. The standard sized Brahmas haven't been as terrific. Consider bantams!

I already called them. I told them that I had more coming and like last time just wanted to be called rather than them send it out with the postal service. They don’t just call when they get it here because the route is t very long but I would rather just get them. I let them know that the tracking isn’t right but that they should be here today or tomorrow. I won’t know until after 12pm.
