People may come and people may go
Some touch your heart, most of us know
But there are a few, who truly matter
These are the ones who make you cry
It isn't sadness, the reason why
Rather, something a bit better
You know of their hurts, you know of their fears
And all of their joys, and all of their tears
Yet still you know, there's more inside
They've learned to love, and learned to care
They know how to give and how to share
For these, their hearts, do not hide
I know who they are, and what they do
Consider it now, so do you
These are the folk done got raised by chickens
Corny, I know. But chikkens raise the best folk, I think.
P.S. What rhymes with chikken other than lickin' and kickin'? Not so good in a poem, no yes?
