lol i leave for a couple hours and everyone is bent out of shape. to all those who are worried about the religion threads please explain to me how that is any more relavent to chicken keeping them any of the other things I have discussed and why you believe you deserve special treatment while everyone has to follow the rules explicitly. Would you really want your children being exposed to other religious groups that were different then your own without you to help them understand what they are reading? I dont, and an 18+ section would be helpful to you/ why are the groups allowed if they are discouraged? I am personally bothered by there presence only because moderation isnt equal, they get special treatment. I have flagged them as have others so i dont understand why they are still there.. its obviously an issue, many people have chimed in and expressed support.

Religion threads are relevant to chickens because as a Catholic I believe that God created animals and humans. Thats how its relevant, anything on this earth can be traced to religion.

Kids can make their own decisions, and their parents can keep them off here if they want.

No. Children need CONSTANT supervision while using the web, so parents should be watching them even on BYC.

Depends how the child was raised and depends on how they act as people

lol, I'm not "bent out of shape" , i simply posed a question and was attempting to have an adult conversation. I understand some people here arent responsive and the decision has already been made, i'm still going to express my thoughts and share ideas, expecially if i think it can help. It doesnt hurt.

If parents don’t want their children exposed to more grown up topics like religion and politics then they shouldn’t let their children on BYC. Parents know what is out there. IMO we don’t need a separate space for threads containing those topics. A large majority of BYCers are Christian, including the teens, and I have honestly never seen somebody upset because of the Christian threads. Nobody tries to push their religion on other BYCers, and if those groups want to get together, then I personally think its fine.
I think that this thread is only going to cause trouble, because its obvious that pretty much no one agrees that this is a mandatory thing.

I was asked to remove my religious signature several years ago and my first account was banned when i kept putting it back after it was taken off by mods..
how because i said i wast "bent out of shape"? to me being bent out of shape is being distraught about things, i expressed it bothered me, i never said i was distraught..
