Dantes eyes filled with fear. he flew down behind her. "I'm coming too!"

Holly had flown down. "Sadie? You could be killed!"

Sadie looked into Holly's eyes. "You need to stay here. Holly, you will stay with Falyn and take care of her. And Dante, i dont need you to come. I will be fine"

 

[allmychickens]

Dante kept following, "I am coming"

"Dante, if this is a trap, then ive fallen into it. You dont have to. Stay here." Sadie told him. "I am not going to be the reason you die. Im sure Holly would be more than happy to have you stay with her."

"dante this is an order from your sister and head hen,yo will go with sadie and protect her at any cost."she said eyes filled with tears at the thought of losing either one of them

"What!?! Falyn, i will not have Dante die because of me!" Sadie said.

"I will protect you!" he yelled at sadie "Im sorry... I have to do my duty, I am a warrior"

Sadie knew it was more than that. She knew he would persist. "Fine" she mumbled. "How far away are they?" she asked the cougar.

falyn was crying at the sound of sadie saying dante would die

"Just over the stream" he said
"I am Abasi by the way"

He lead them to a cave, inside was a mother cougar and 3 kits. 2 were suckling but the third laid lifeless between her paws as she licked it persistantly trying to get it to breath.

"It has a heart beat! she cried out in agony shaking it a bit. it draws in short hard breaths but only once and a while, not enough to keep it alive.
