Definitely not purebred, but her original owner's records from the shelter state that she's a husky mix w/ Anatolian. She doesn't look like a purebred to me, but husky is not what I would have thought.

It's the males that wander is what I hear. I think that's true for a lot of breeds. In the event someone has some advice for me. I am still looking for help with the Chickens at night. I am thinking Anatolian Shepherd since it was discussed that the Great Py tend to wonder off, and are barky. I have 2 acres with close neighbors and they have lived through my Rooster over load but I would rather them not have to go through barky dog overload. However I need some back up for my current dogs. I don't think that the dog would need to spend the night outside but if one would provide good back up for current dogs. Who have now been bit by Coyotes and my Pitt /Shar pei mix looked at me and said forget it, not interested, get someone else. The border is game and has a good thick coat for protection but he got bit in the nose. So I am trying to make a good decision here. Maybe get a shelter dog that is larger to help. IDK. What can you tell me about the temperament of the AS I have cats too. Someone said they are diggers? I think an Australian Cattle dog would be too small for the task. Let me know please.
