Ancona Duck Advice & Questions!

Hi All!

I'm getting 2 little Ancona ducklings this upcoming spring & just trying to plan/budget for their arrival!

Does anyone know how fast they grow? & if you have diapers for them how many sizes should I get? I know these little guys grow quickly but since they will be spending time in the house as well I want to make sure im fully prepared.

Also if anyone has any breed specific advice of pictures of their anconas I would love to see! Super excited

I have 11 chickens and want to add two Ancona ducks to my flock (not in the same space though-the ducks will have their own run and house). If I were to get a drake and a hen do you think they would be okay? I have read that one male to one female ratio could be detrimental to the female but I’ve also read that Anconas are gentle so maybe the drake wouldn’t be so rough towards the hen? Thoughts?
