Does anyone have any adult pictures of their Ancona that aren’t the standard black & white? Ideally if you have any photos of ones that are brown/chocolate. I just got in my first Ancona ducklings today from Cackle hatchery and one of them is clearly brown compared to her black sisters. For whatever reason I wasn’t aware that they came in chocolate, I knew there’s a blue version but didn’t expect to get anything other than the typical black & white from a commercial hatchery.

My favorite source for Ancona Colors

My flock is recessive so here is last year's March hatch. Front left hen, front right drake. Back mostly white and pure white, I think they turned out to be hens.

The drake is 3rd back, 2nd to last looking grey not brown. The duckling is now brown/silver depending on light like her dad.

I have 4 Anconas in lavender, lilac, blue, and black. I don't have any chocolate without the blue gene, but the lavender drake has a lot of chocolate showing through on his feathers. Beautiful ducklings! I love the chocolate Anconas and I'm hoping to get some when I hatch this season.

We got Anconas from Cackle last spring. One is a chocolate. I will try to get a pic tomorrow. I think their description says they mostly have black, but occasionally end up with a chocolate.
