I just hatched some Ancona ducklings and I have one that’s “rare” all yellow, not like it’s brothers and sisters.

The rare duckling’s feet is also all yellow with no black markings.

I had messaged the breeder and she said that she had never seen that before. She only has Ancona dusks on her farm and no other breeds other than her chickens.

Breeder said they are mixed with blue genes so it could develop grey/blue feathers later.

Has anyone else have had a all yellow Ancona duckling with no markings before?

Breeder said she there’s blue, chocolate and lilac Anconas. She has blue in her ducks. But she is most definitely interested how this little guy/gal turns out.
Splash in chickens is two blue genes. I can find information on ducks coming in splash but no genetics so I'm not sure if it's the same. What do lilac ancona's look like?

Not sure probably a white with light hints of grey. I’m just super curious with this little one. Even the breeder was surprised

I have Ancona Swedish mix ducks from my Swedish Drake and Ancona female. I had two babies in two separate clutches come out all white.
Included is a picture of Baby, who turns a year old this summer.

Very interesting, so it is possible to have one basically all white. Especially yours since Swedish ducks are mostly black.
