Hi there, we have a flock of 16 ducks Muscovy, Cayuga and Golden 300. Half are adopted so we are guessing their breed. We successfully hatched some mixed ducks in an incubator and they are healthy and great little additions. My husband picked up 7 Ancona eggs and we have them in the incubator now but my humidity level is at 87% how do I lower it? We live on the water in Washington State and it’s can be humid here it’s day 1

Hi, I lower/adjust my humidity by letting the tiniest bit of air in. I have a really cheap incubator and just wedge a thin piece of paper/cardboard in the lid. It usually does the trick for me.
Good luck

Yes I agree with Dees Ducks. You need to let more egg into your incubater. I had this problem the other day on day 1 and after a wee panic discovered that I could lift the lid slightly couple of mm and keep it open by using a bit of electrical tape either side. It worked really well. 😊

How are you getting on with your humidity? You need to get it down to around 55% somehow. Let in a bit of air as advised above (just a tiny bit though don't overdo it) and/or reduce the amount of water evaporation in your incubator.
Good luck - I love Anconas and will be hopefully hatching some next month. At the moment I'm on lockdown for some Welsh Magpies, hopefully baby ducks soon!

Thank you!! I was able to get it down but it isn’t saying consistent at all
