You should be concerned.. They're chicken eggs, right?

Chicken eggs usually hatch on day 21. Day 27 is really late for eggs to hatch. I'm surprised you got a pip from one of the eggs this late.

Are they Ancona ducks or chickens? If they are duck eggs then no I wouldn't worry and external pips will not always be completely through on the first pip hole. If they are chicken then I would be concerned.
