Ancona still not laying

I don't think that's an Ancona. my thought is mottled Java.

They're slower to mature. She's definitely a hen, but her comb doesn't look quite mature enough to lay. I think she's just a big girl and taking her time.

Plus, she'll be a brown egg layer. If you're looking for white eggs, you're going to miss them. Possible she's already laying, just brown eggs? You might try confining her for a few days and see what you get.

I do believe you are right, she laid a small very light brown egg today finally!!!! Thank you everyone for your help!! Now if I could just get all 9 to lay in one day lol

She's a Mottled Java, not an Ancona. That's why she took so long to lay.

Congrats! She's a nice large girl, she should be a steady layer for years to come.
