Ancona with possible neurological issues

A link...? I have no links and only go by what I actually know...Either Try my way or don't?...Best wishes Banty..:frow
I'm only wondering how you know it since nothing I've seen backs it up. I like to have multiple sources on everything, lol. :D
Why straight oral?...:th
Just curious.

Banty, could she have gotten into anything toxic? Any drakes being rough on her?
Possibly. She has the run of the property. This place used to be a private dump so there's just about everything in the ground. No, I lost one drake to some nighttime predator a while ago, and I have the other LF drake locked up in preparation for sale. The only drake out now is a Call that never tries to get nasty.

Oh no. . sorry to hear you lost one. :(
:hugs
Good thought, but no. They haven't gotten anything out of the ordinary for scraps recently.
Hum. Well. .
Strange. I wouldn't think it would be calcium deficiency since they eat layer feed

But I've heard that some just need more than others so I suppose that is a possibility. Wouldn't think it would hurt to try some calcium and see if it helps.

I was wondering this too. She's standing with her tail tucked like she's trying to balance but having a hard time with it. She is kinda acting 'drunk'.

The circles, does she just start circling repeatedly? In ducklings, that's a sign of wry neck, which is caused by a Vitamin E deficiency.

She tries to walk a straight line but falls, tries to get up before she's got her bearings, and ends up tripping in circles. She has no visible wonky neck posture other than moving side to side in an attempt to balance.

I checked around. I saw styrofoam, lots of metal bits, and two half rotted squash that I threw out there last winter. They did have nibble marks on them.

I wonder if the squash has fermented and she got 'drunk' by eating it?

If you're concerned it's something toxic you might want to try a molasses flush.

Certainly possible. I have to wonder why it's only her, though, whatever it is. :idunno Thanks for the link!
