And another one bites the dust

    Went out to gather eggs today and found yet another yellow rat snake coiled on top of five eggs in one nesting box.
    This after finding one yesterday with an egg about six inches down it's gullet.
    This was a different snake though, and smaller than yesterdays find, it had not swallowed an egg.
    I'll have to keep a closer eye on things I guess...there's nothing you can do to prevent them coming round so I'll have to watch carefully from now on....

    put em in a pillowcase and remove them to a creek about a mile or two from the house...

    Excellant job my friend. I am sorry for you egg loss. But you lead by example. Far enough away to not come back, and respect for the animal.
