Great pics! I see you're using egg cartons in your bator. Have you used these before or is it your first time? I'll be a first-timer in a couple of weeks and haven't made up my mind yet.

Styrofoam or paper cartons? Or does it matter? It seems like the paper would absorb moisture and could make it too humid?

Hi! I have the hatcher divided into quads this week and there were only 6 little Silkie eggs --- so I cut down a carton for them.
I don't usually use cartons, but this hatch was a 'mixed group' of small eggs, big eggs, and duck eggs.

Sometimes the smaller eggs don't hatch so well because of the difference in temperature and *I thought* standing them up in the carton might help with that. All the other bigger eggs are on their sides on the wire.
