We are so very new to chickens. My parents have chickens and got a couple for my young daughter who loves chickens. They are one of her favorite animals. And, now I am incubating eggs with my young daughter. Since we can't have chickens where we live at least we can let her watch and see them as babies.

Right now, we are incubating 20 eggs of all different breeds. We'll find out what they are when they hatch which is exciting. The eggs we got from my daughter's Lil Farmer class are a mixture as are the ones from my parents. Thankfully, I found out about this place from my parents.

We have lots of pets. A dog, a couple of cats, fish, tadpoles, bugs, caterpillars...you name it, especially injured bugs. If it's small enough, my daughter will bring it home as a pet to rescue and help.

I've never incubated eggs before but plenty of other members have. In case you haven't found it yet, here's where you can get some help with your hatch:
Incubating & Hatching Eggs

Best of luck, hope it all goes well!

P.S. I loved reading about your DD's caring attitude toward animals, that's great! :thumbsup
