And, so it begins...

A big BYC welcome to you and your daughter. If it is at all possible, physically separate the incubating eggs into appropriate groups. Hatched chicks can be very active and roll 'younger' eggs around.

So, would you get another incubator? There is a chance we will be doing more incubating.

And, I think we have a baby who broke through the air cell. Noticed accidentally since I was planning to go on lockdown tomorrow, but realized tonight that Bantams typically hatch sooner (we have two Bantam eggs, my daughter's favorite). I could hear a light tap.

I have chicks, hopefully hatching soon...and a tadpole in our bathroom that my daughter saved yesterday. LOL

Thanks! We have our first lil chick. Hatched last night around 7 and waiting for the others to make progress. However, my daughter is so ecstatic! I'll try to post a pic later. Such a cutie! Now, my daughter is talking about showing chickens! LOL

Here is our new baby! As my daughter says, she is a Mommy again...after her cat. She really is a little mother hen! Now just waiting for the others to make progress.
