Andalusion orphington cross roo or hen? Help

The comb thing confuses a lot of folks, don't feel bad. It's the reason we always ask the age of the bird. If your bird were, say 6 months old, we'd probably be saying pullet. But at only 3 months, that's way too soon for a red comb no matter the breed. Plus, looking at the neck, can you see some of the feathers are getting that longer, pointy, kind of glossy look? Those are hackle feathers, they'll continue to grow and saddle feathers will come soon. Those are male traits.

If you just got the bird, and it was sold as a pullet, contact the seller and return the bird or get a refund. It's not what you paid for.

Just picked up this pretty thing supposed to be a hen. 3months old splash Andalusian cross. Thoughts hen or roo?? Thanks

Well crap lol
Would you guys mind telling me what you see to determine that? Is it bc the comb and wattle are really red instead of pink? Females get combs and wattles too so this is all really confusing hehe;)

In this picture the hackle feathers and in the last pic the comb & wattle for 3 months pretty red & big. Sorry but it's a nice looking Cockerel!
