Anemic chicken

I have a hen who is approximately 8 months old. She was laying regularly for about 2 weeks and now has completely stopped. I noticed the red on her face, comb and wattles is now a light pink and they have become much smaller. I read that anemia can be caused by lice or mites so I checked everywhere on her and can't find anything. Her skin throughout her body is completely white, I'm new to chickens so I'm not sure if this is normal. Besides looking anemic she is doing okay, eats and drinks normally and still forages around. The only change I've noticed is she opens her beak up and almost like gasps. Doesn't do this all the time but frequently enough that I've noticed. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do or could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Check her vent area for parasites and eggs (kinda flaky and white usually at the base of the feathers) Do you have her with other chickens and if so are they acting normally?I would treat her for mites/lice just for safety.I actually have a hen that is acting the same as yours.It started over 3 months ago and it progressed to being lethargic and not eating along with the gasping for air.Found out she had lice and although I treated her for it months ago(when found) the vet says she believes she still has the lice and her breathing issue is from the loss of red blood cells which has an effect on airsacs .Hopefully you get other replies because I'm no expert but I can try to help from experiences!
