Just wanted to add my two cents to all this angel wing treatment . I discovered one of my baby mallards had angel wing just yesterday. He is 5 weeks old. I had my husband run about for some vet tape and we began our treatment to get rid of this. The vet tape sticks nicely to itself but my rumbunctious mallard got it to slide down too far making it hard to walk.
I then went on line and found one lonely picture of a duck with a nylon knee high on treating angel wing.
So I ran and got one of my knee high nylons, I cut the toe out and slid it over his body so the toe section was around his toosh. So far it is working out very well. No rewrapping ...no wondering if its too tight. and it is snug enough around his chest so there is little worry about it coming off...
This is day 1...............so I will come back on day 5 and give the end results...
