One of our chicks wings are splayed outward where the primary feathers are (I think). Our niece was visiting and held it a little too tight when we first noticed it. We aren’t sure if she somehow caused this by maybe squeezing it’s developing feathers in the wrong direction? Or if it’s developing “angel wings”. The two other chicks it’s with don’t show signs of this at all. Just wondering what y’all’s thoughts are, if you have any advice on how or if to treat it. I hope it’s not painful 😣.

Angel wing affects water fowl, not chickens. When chicks are growing their first set of real feathers on the wings they can sometimes look wonky and uneven. It will probably resolve with time and growth. If it's eating and drinking well and acting normally, then I would give it some time, it will likely resolve.

Thank you! I didn’t know that it only affected water fowl. The chick is already looking better 😊
