Angel Wing Treatment

@Vyctoria I love the idea of adding a sock over the wrap!! Our one Cayuga has been a total Houdini, he can get out of anything we have tried so far. Going to give this a try and see if we can get that wing fixed up after all. Thanks sooo much for sharing!!
Just be sure it doesn't have access to swimming water with all of that on.

What can I do to cut protein besides oats. That won’t eat the oats. They pick around it . One of my ducks has angel wing and a few others might as well I just am not totally sure yet. They are 5 ish weeks old. I’ve wrapped with vet wrap but I want to also change their feed. What can i do? I was going to just mix in layer feed because it’s less protein but too high in calcium so if what to do.

What are you feeding them currently?
The whole high protein thing is pretty highly debatable imo.
I lean more towards believing that it's more a genetic factor,
Or improper nutrition.

I’m feeding them oats, though they don’t really like them, chick starter/grower (18%) and I added soaked alfalfa pellets today as well.

18% shouldn't cause angel wing. I start my ducks on meatbird and it's 22% honestly I would not cut the feed with oats if I were you. If they do actually eat it you are also cutting down on all the other nutrients they need from the feed.
When you read articles about ducks getting Angel wing at parks and such, typically people are feeding them a lot of bread and other junk they don't need.
In my mind it seems like that is more of an improper nutrition problem than it is a high protein problem.

I don’t really cut their feed, I let them free feed on the 18% food and then also add in oats and alfalfa pellets as extras ...a few more of them seem to be getting angel wing as well. What’s going wrong?

Well if they are eating that stuff instead of their feed it's basically the same as.
I'm not an expert in the department of angel wing by any means.. but I've had a couple with it. And I can say that I thing genetics play a huge Role.
I had one Cayuga with angel wing and one of her ducklings ended up having it too. But none of my other ones had it. So for me I don't see it being a feed issue here, since they all eat the same thing.

Also post some pictures when you have a minute.
Sometimes what looks like angel wing in the beginning Ends up just being their wing feathers growing in and they end up being perfectly fine.
