Angel wing

Can geese get Angel wing? Natasha's flight feathers started coming in last week. I noticed today that the tip of her wing, the part you would chop off if you were eating chicken wings, was sticking out. I will get a picture tomorrow.

Doesn't look like angel wing with angel wing the feather poked straight out like a hitch hikers thumb, and yes geese can get angel wing.

It's like she can't tuck that last part of her wing in. She keeps trying and it falls back. Today it has started with the other wing. I can't figure out how she would have gotten injured. Boris is a little farther along with his feathers and tucks them up fine. I guess I will watch her for a couple of days. Maybe the rapid feather growth is bothering her.

Those flight feather when growing in are full of blood. as she works to tuck them in and arrange them where they should be she is working on getting those muscles strong to hold them in place. Take a pic of her close from behind so we can see how they are if sticking out or not.

Here is one from behind. Maybe 2inches on the right wing and one on the left. Boris is definitely ahead of her as she still has some down and his is all gone.

The left wing is fine today. Tucker up tight. The right wing is still hanging down and she does this a lot on the right side. I call it yoga

I also just noticed I don't like the way that foot looks. Looks like it might be the start of some bumbles.

Now that maybe the start looks more so one the right. You could wait or go ahead and wrap you’ll have to keep her out of the pool. If caught early it is usually less than a week befor it’s laying flat. sorry I had typed this out and didn't hit send
