Hi all. We’ve had chickens for a few years now and just decided to take the plunge and get ducks. They arrived today at 1.5 days old. One (Rouen) has her wings straight out almost like an airplane. I didn’t think they could develop angel wing this young and thought it was typically due to a vitamin deficiency. I reached out to mypetchicken, where I purchased the ducks and previously my chickens. They have wonderful customer service. However I was told that the “waterfowl liaison” never heard of this issue in day old ducklings and it couldn’t be angel wing. What do you all think? And can/should I wrap the wings? Other than this wing issue, she is super alert, friendly and eating and drinking like crazy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
