I just got my first duck a little over a month ago as a 4 day old. Petrie, a Black East Indie (probably a drake), is about 5 weeks old and I'm starting to think he has angel wing

He's on 20% grower and has been taken outside many times for bugs. I know that angel wing is caused by too much protein but I had been reading that 20% protein is fine! I'll post pics tomorrow, but is there anything I can do? Is it too late?

Not sure if it's too late, but I always try to think if theres a way to help lets try it, I feed Purina Flock raiser from hatch till end of life and have never had a case of Angel wing so maybe leaning more to heredity, did you get him from a breeder? you maybe able to ask if they have had problems with AW, but heres a link that may help you wrap and try to correct. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...how-we-wrap-to-mend-it-pictorial#post_8682154

Here are pictures I snapped today. I haven't talked to the breeder since I got him/her, but when I got him I saw his parents and they they looked perfectly normal and healthy. I also know that the breeders got them from Ideal so they wouldn't know any lineage or health history.

Can I still wrap it, or is it too late?

I would definitely give it a try at wrapping them, and yes, it does, unfortunately, look like angel wing. The link Miss Lydia posted is very helpful, so I would use that as a guide.

Had a crested do same thing at that age not as severe but I got her from 20% protein to 14% protein feed and tucked and wrapped with vet tape also I worked with the wing daily tucking and gently manipulating it back in position a few weeks of this really paid off for Miss Hissy. Hope the wings straighten out.
