angel wing?

I'm having a problem with my young Muscovy ducks. Out of 11, that are around 10 weeks old, I have 3 or 4 showing signs of Angel Wing. I feed cracked corn (the 5 grain type) and Layena. 2/3 cracked corn to 1/3 Layena. Is Layena my problem? I also have chickens and Runner ducks... and feed the same to all of them. I just posted on the "Geese" forum, then realized I posted in the wrong place. Sorry for the duplicate post. They all free range on an acre. Should I stop the Layena?

I would look for flock raiser, the layena has too much calcium in it for all of your growing babies.

Increase the amount of finely chopped greens in their diet and wrap each wing individually I'm it's natural folded position, re wrap every 3 days to reposition for feather growth.

Cracked corn is not a balanced diet and could severely affect the long term health of your ducks.

It is severely lacking in crucial nutrients.

The "cracked corn" that I'm using has 5 grains. Wheat, Barley, Millet, Oats and Corn. So it isn't 100% corn. They have all of the greens they could possibly want with the fresh grass and weeds on an acre of free range. Should I use Flock Raiser in place of Layena?

Layers should not be fed to young birds the excessive calcium is not needed whatsoever, as a matter of fact i'll step you up a notch and say you don't necessarily need a layer at all, for instance i don't feed one far to many ages in my flock to pull that off with the ducks.

Angel wing is an odd one so many theories but not much been truly sorted on the exact causes, i am not even sure if they have yet to settle the debate on whether it exists in the wild lol

Sounds like a scratch grain is what your using, which is fine so long as it's not the main diet, i feed a grower to my ducks and free choice oyster shell, this offsets the lack of layer for the females.

Flock raiser, all flocks etc are great if you can get them. as for the angel wing there are threads on here about treating it, you can tape wings and it may improve. Genetics i think play the greatest role in it vs feed since often only a few birds are effected yet they all eat the same, super high protein maybe an issue but i think that would have to be mega high and prolonged use.

He's a muscovy. One of the hatchlings in the photo has the eyestripe from eye to back of head. Mallard hatchlings have eyestripe through whole head.

My two month old pita has a drooping wing on one side and what I am pretty sure is angel wing on the other side... can anyone confirm angel wing and give any tips on fixing it? Also, can anyone tell me if this duck's coloring looks typical for a mallard? He got really big really fast, he is twice the size of his girlfriend houdini and they were the same size exactly when we got them.
Thanks in advance,

It's nothing to Worry He is absolutely fine ; they are growing wing feathers it happens with every pullet .
The wing lie downs because the feathers in the end of wing are heavier , when the wing feathers will grow all , the duck will not hang it.
Take a look of this link:
