He is a pharaoh or Jumbo Pharaoh. Italians are more beige.

she means a pharoah( Wild colored)COTURNIX or Jumbo Wild colored COTURNIX....not an italian colored COTURNIX.
but you are saying that you have 2 Coturnix in a cage together and that's all 1 male /1 female ratio? if that's the case then the chances are very good tha the male is overbreeding the female and she has HAD ENOUGH with him. Your ratio of male to female should be 1 roo to AT LEAST 3 ,but better4-6 females.Coturnix are covey birds and the males are very....hmm...frisky. The male is actually apt to injure her by breeding with her so often....it is just waht the boys do when there's only 1 female she has to deal with him all the time . ....other words...you NEED more females!

I am in gainesville, I have a few adults you can have.

I have a trio- Male Italian, Female Red Tux, Female Italian

I think I have 2 adult AM hens you can have.

there is also a breeder in trenton, north of newberry, has plenty of birds. You can stare and take your pick for $3/bird. PM me if you want directions.

I am thinking you want to quarantine all birds though first before introductions and first dates...

holler...

I am sure she is a female quail. I get eggs from her every day

I had a hen that had trouble getting along with her pen mates too. Just woke up one morning and hated everyone else in the pen. I pulled the scalped ones out to heal and she would find a new target. Put the healed one back in and she would be right back it. I eventually ate that fine young hen..... Bill

Ahhhh Yes, the "revenge" meals are surely the ones that are the most delectable..........LOL

You have 2 coturnix. The one/ones that lay an egg are female/s.

Coturnix hens can be just as aggressive, if not more than the roos. They will scalp, crop peck(Which is deadly), eye peck(Which is deadly if they get both eyes), or generally stomp down any bird/s they don't like.

There are coturnix mix and match protocols that can be followed to ease the transition, but sometimes, no matter what you do....some birds just don't get along.

I have a tux hen that is similar to yours. Often she chatters out and chases the main male in the pen. He has to constantly run/hide from her.

She and one of my other hens have started sitting on eggs and chewing out my hand when I collect them. Funny little buggers
