we have a 2 quails in a cage with a small run and the hen has started to become a bit aggressive towards the rooster, she’s scaring him away and pecking him especially when he comes close to a hole in the ground she made.
Should I be worried or not?

It sounds to me as if she is defending her nest from the male. Coturnix usually require a higher hen ratio. You can leave them be unless the hen draws blood, or remove the male. If they were my birds, I'd remove the male and set him up with a minimum 4 hens, more if they are available. When the current hen either raises her chicks or becomes disenchanted with motherhood and leaves the nest, I'd add her back into the colony.

She has stopped being aggresive towards the rooster and left the nest
