That sounds like a good idea. I try to always put someone who is laid back in with an injured one. They are a lot more happy that way.Males view me as competition.
She will never let herself get 100% until she decides to rest while in care. I am thinking about taking her with the 2 docile hens. And sticking them back in the pen.
I had my drake run after my cayuga ducklings and chomp on their blood feathers this week. It screamed and I was already running. I honestly smacked him. I know I didn’t hurt him but it pissed me off.
He’s now in jail. My females from different “flocks” are decent to each other if I remove my drake. How feasible would it be to put the drakes up for a few days? And let the ladies have some freedom?
And such a nice big pond for all to enjoy lil
I would agree with you. If you have to build something new just for that, it’s not worth the trouble.Things are calming down. Heat of day and all.
I'm trying to figure out what I can do on no budget.
The drakes big and strong, im gonna need reinforcing.
Easiest it to add a friend in with her. If I have to bring her in, I'll get her a friend.
