Animal attacked my Rouen...not sure what to do.

I did my best but a skunk got one.

Wing is broken, and a severe puncture wound on the bottom there. I have washed and prepped with vetricyn and don't know what next...I am going use blood stop to see if the puncture will stop. Any other advice appreciated.

Just reading here as best I can...I had the supplies on hand as I got lots of advice upfront, not sure what else I can do...wrap or open air...thank you for encouragement.

It may have damaged the leg muscle, she has trouble walking as well...

I would give mine antibiotics if they had an open wound like that. Are you keeping the poor baby secluded away from the flock so she can heal in peace. I’m sorry to hear this happened Patrick

Do you have any antibiotic ointment? I’d put that on her too.

I'll add the ointment, but the blood stop worked and sealed the puncture area pretty good. I'll add ointment to the other skinned areas.

I need to get antibiotics for her.

I wouldn't be too concerned about her walking weirdly yet. I'd imagine the wound makes walking unpleasant even if it's superficial.

I second the antibiotic ointment- for a human I'd advise keeping it covered with ointment although I realize a duck may not be compliant in keeping a bandage on.

You might put the ointment on the puncture area after you are sure it’s not going to keep bleeding. Poor thing. That way the ointment keeps the scab soft and infection can ooze out if needed. Otherwise it will go internal. I’m sure skunks are full of germs. Do you have a way of getting her oral antibiotics Patrick?

I'm going to keep it open air for now, I used hibiclens and blood stop after. It did stop bleeding and she appears calmer, but she will not sit down just stands there in corner, most likely shock.

I don't have antibiotics.

I calling my friend who was a medic in Iraq. No Duck experience, but wound care is his thing. I'm just trying to keep her calm now until he gets here and can guide me better and he can pick up antibiotics.
