Has anyone noticed their animals acting not themselves?
I have a serama that sleeps inside but goes out to the main coop for the day. This morning when I opened her cage she just sat there, usually she comes out and talks and is sassy. When I put her outside she usually runs to the coop and she just sat there.
My cat seems quiet as well. I usually give him a piece of tuna when he comes inside and he just sniffed it and went and laid down.
My chickens don’t seem like their noises, chatting selves this morning and my roosters are barely crowing.
I’m not sure what’s going on. Could they be sensitive to seasonal changes? It has cooled quite significantly the past few days and will most likely stay that way now for a few weeks until the leaves start falling.
It’s making me nervous. 🤷‍♀️

My cats haven't been eating as well lately. I'm guessing they are dealing with some sort of virus, or the heat is bothering them. If it continues you may need to take your kitty to the vet.

Chickens can get quiet for many reasons. If they are eating, drinking, and scratching about they generally are okay. This time of year as wild birds are starting to flock up and migrate I sometimes see more respiratory illnesses. So keep an eye on everyone. Birds are also getting ready to molting this time of year and hormones are calming down under decreasing light.
