When do yall put up your annual gardens?

Mines staring to grow large and stemmy.

How long will petunia wave last if I bring it indoors?

Sarah, I sure wish you'd join the BYC sister forum, www.theeasygarden.com

You would love it. It's a bunch of BYCers and some other folks, too. I love going in there for gardening advice. We NEED more people like you!

I am a flower freak, I love flowers/plants FAR more than I do critters

Sarah~ I still haven't tilled my annual flowers yet. They are starting to look spent but as long as there are several blooms I will leave them as long as possible. I usually do it by the end of September every year and plant my winter garden. I am putting Tulips back in the ground Saturday too.

I wish I could get P. Allen Smith to come live with me

When your tulips have flowered out do you take them out of the ground each year? I want to plant lots of tulips this year for next spring but dont want a big empty spot after they are spent..

Go join! It's a really great site, and operates just like BYC. Makes it easy to jump right in!

SarahFair made it!

I have usually in the past just left them in the ground but this year I will start digging them up and storing them. The past couple years I have been having issues with them not all coming back. None of my Queen of the Night tulips came back this year. SO, we will see if digging them up and storing them will help since we don't have really cold winters, although they feel pretty cold to me LOL I love tulips to death! I can't have enough. The ones I mentioned I am planting are some new ones I ordered.
