Just want to give a short intro. I´m a California girl, living in Sweden since a long time now, with a big family with five wonderful grown up kids, fourteen likely wonderful grandkids and now five cute chickens (since all the children are gone!). Actually hens, but as I understand one doesn´t use that word?! Chickens are cuter, I guess that is why. Who knows?
I am really interested in learning more how to take care of these five darlings, to feed them well and help then stay healthy and productive. They live in our backyard in a tiny, cosy hen house with a big "garden", which is really safe, laying tucked in right by our back yard woods.
I never let them wander freely in our garden, because I am so afraid of the wolves and hawks. I would never forgive myself if they were killed that way!
I don´t have the great experience of these animals as many of you have. This is my second bunch within five years, so I am looking forward to partake and LEARN from you all!
