The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to pull off the capture without looking like we were in full-blown crisis mode! Of course, Alice kind of blew that for us. Now I know the meaning of, "running around like a chicken with its head off"! While Alice kept her head literally, she did "lose it" in that parking lot!

I fear I have tarnished my reputation as an expert chicken wrangler!

And to think, I've only done this with sheep, rabbits, finches....oh, and don't ask how fast a Scottish Terrier can run down Sunset Blvd. duriing the busiest time of day, or how fast I can run, through traffic, to catch it.

I think it's too late to worry about infection after all...

Lynn, I think you have definitely tarnished your "chicken wrangler" reputation this time!!! You guys should have seen her on her hands and knees trying to immobilize poor little Alice (I'm sure you all have experienced that really fun moment when you've got a chicken by the tail and they're throwing themselves all over, flapping their wings, and squawking like you're trying to kill them and you've only got one hand to try to stop them and you're praying that you don't pull the feathers out of their tail because if they get away from you this time you'll never catch them because now they're as mad as heck. . .!!) !! Way too funny!
