Another Barred Rock that needs sexing!

What about saddle feather? can you tell from these pictures if they are boy/girls? Sorry for the bad pics!!!

Barred Rock about 6 or 7 weeks - 8 weeks Pretty sure this is a hen!!! this is NOT a pullet that is a cockerel 3,000% the bright coloring alone says cockerel theres no question on that
Barred Rock Mix??? almost 5 weeks....this is what a pullet would look like see the limited barring and dull coloring?

heres a hen not the barring

I realize That if this chick was a full Barred Rock it would most likely be a hen but it is a MIX!!! Barred Rock and ???? I don't know what it's mixed with
roll.png
does that make a difference??? I'm sure it must! also the feathers on the back look a little rounded but it's getting a little green iridescent color on the wing feathers A LITTLE I don't know if that means anything???

And as for the light colored one I am positive it is a rooster!!! although I am going to keep it until it starts crowing because I have read that people have had BR that looked like roosters and turned out to be hens.I got it from the feed store so I'm hoping that this light colored bird is one of those VERY few exceptions to the rules

Look at this rooster!!! to put a end to this question I now think it is no question that Roxy is a rooster!!! on the other hand my mom is in HUGE denial!!! she read that if you keep chickens in too warm of conditions that can cause their combs and wattles to grow bigger

I keep trying to tell her the coloring is very male! but shes holding strong that we kept them too warm

I guess she will find out soon enough when he starts crowing.

So does putting a rooster in a cold room shrink his comb and cause him to quit crowing?

Was this one bird somehow seperated from the others and "warmed" in the oven? That's why it's bigger and redder?

Sorry, hope you don't mind me poking a little fun at your momma, it's just funny what folks will repeat without really thinking about it!

Come to think of it, maybe she's on to something. I had a mean rooster. I put him in the freezer last year and he hasn't crowed since!

Thanks if you can help a newbie out... I think I chose unwisely from a straight run.. Rooster?

I think this one is a girl though... from the same lot...
