Looking to set up a brooder for six birds. They would be in there until they are 6 weeks of age. I have an old dresser that I'm just going to trash if I can't find another use for it. It is 2 feet wide, 5 feet long, and 19 inches deep. Would this be big enough for 6, 6 week old chicks? The dresser would be laid on its back so that where the drawers once were would be facing the sky.

That should be plenty of space! You could probably fit a few more chicks in there if you want more! Make sure they have ample protection from predators like raccoons, dogs and cats. That means a wire cover that can't be easily pushed by a snout or crafty paws. Have fun!

Also make sure you have a lid for it. 19" is not super high once they start testing their wings.

Thats plenty of space for 6 chicks. Excellent usage of material your chicks will love it.

We were going to use an old dresser too, until we found out it was made of cedar.
Scrapped that idea, because of the cedar.
